I saw that they announced this fight (on the crawl on ESPNdeportes) so maybe I didn't translate it right, but thats not a bad bout.

Tito will kill him? I seriously dont know if I would go that far. Trinidad has always been a little overrated. Plus he has been off forever and theres a good chance he will be considerably rusty. I know alot of you guys like Spinch dont like Mayorga but I dont think he's that bad. In my opinion he hasnt lost a fight in years. I've watched the Spinks fight twice and theres no way Mayorga didnt win that fight.

I think Mayorga has a decent shot at beating Trinidad. I probably wont bet it because he is so unpredictable and him coming in his last fight 6.5 pounds over weight was just ridiculous. But I dont think you guys give him enough credit. He's not as unpolished as alot of you guys say he is. He's not a conventional boxer but I dont know if thats such a bad thing.

He throws alot of wild punches with cruel intentions but theyre not as crude as some think.
He throws them at downward angles which have alot better chance of connecting. I think he is a little more calculating than he appears with his offensive attack. I like the angels he takes when fighting.

Trinidad will probably slug it out with him a little. I dont think Mayorga catching him would be too far fetched.

Mayorga throws wide wild shots and whether or not they land he seems to get them scored for him . I thought vernon beat him in their 2nd fight. Throw those wide shots vs Tito and Tito will hit him with those cement hand wraps his daddy puts on his hands and KO him.

I'm not sure who I like here yet, but my question is WHY Mayorga? Is that really the big
money fight or is he the perfect hand picked
pigeon for Tito to make his comeback? Is it
not all about the matchup? Is this really a contest or a con job? The Trinidads are very
shrewd and cunning. If Tito loses, he becomes just another bum who should have stayed home and fed the chickens. If he should win as I suspect he may, there are possibilities down
the road. Anything under -250 and Tito is a go
based on logistics alone. I think the whole thing stinks.

Why Mayorga? What other big name fighter can he fight at 160? Hopkins and Oscar are tied up.
Winky could move up but Moselys excercising his immediate rematch. Plus Don King has both of these guys. Taylor's not that big of a name yet. Mayorga's the only guy for him to fight and King wants to make it happen. Nothing mysterious to it.

He hasn't fought in a while. I wouldn't expect him to come back and fight the biggest names out there.

Hopkins And DLH are tied up only if they want to be. They are not obligated to fight and there
is some talk that fight may never happen. As far
as other possible matchups I have to do some research and to be honest I really don't give a rats rear end enough right now to initiate any.
Lets see what the numbers are at any rate.

i hate mayorga....but,if trinidad fights him his first fight back without taking any tune-ups,i think he`s making a major mistake....

in his last pro fight he was manhandled and knocked out.....

i think trinidad should stay home....

what weight class would it be at?....jr. middle or middle?.

In Trinidad's last fight he knocked out a scrub. To answer your question though, Trinidad won't fight below 160.

my bad...he got a win over the dreaded hassine cherifi in puerto rico......a useless notch on his record...

in mayorga, who imo has the skill level of a toughman fighter,he`ll be fighting an awkward guy that will be winging punches from everywhere....mayorga`s chin, though,is a proven commodity......felix`s chin,is not...

still, usually i`d be on trinidad in this scenario like rosie o`donnell on a cheeseburger, but, the guy will have been off for over 2 years.....

that`s a recipe for disaster...

IF TITO FIGHTS RICKY ON HIS FIRST MATCH BACK FROM RETIREMENT, RICKY WILL KNOCK HIM OUT. REMEMBER THIS. I've followed Mayorga's career closely. MAYORGA WILL BEAT TITO.

I've never seen you post on here before that I remember Slim but whatever. Olympic opens at Trinidad -350 Mayorga +275. My lean would be toward Mayorga.

Mayorga has huge value on that line.... way too good to pass up... He fights his best when soemone fights him, and Felix only knows one way... Should be a classic battle..
